Best eSIM for Asia: compare plans for your route
Choose an Asia eSIM around the countries on your route. Asia, Southeast Asia and Asia-Pacific packages can cover different places, even when their names sound similar.

Choose for your trip
For Tokyo, Seoul and Taipei, check Japan, South Korea and Taiwan individually in the coverage list. Repeat that check for every added stop. A Southeast Asia label alone does not tell you whether a package includes Japan or Korea.
For a short two-country trip, compare a small regional package with separate country plans. For a longer route, check that one shared allowance and one validity window cover the whole journey, including any return to a country already visited.
Providers and plans compared
Simvito sells travel eSIMs and is included in this comparison. We checked the official product pages linked below on 2 November 2026. This article compares published terms; we have not tested these providers’ speeds, coverage or support. Confirm the exact package before paying.
| Provider | Published offer checked | What to check for your trip |
|---|---|---|
| Airalo | Asia: 18 listed destinations | Open the exact package’s coverage and network details. |
| Holafly | Asia: 16 destinations; hotspot 1 GB per day | Budget for the separate hotspot allowance. |
| Nomad | APAC: 14-destination and 21-destination options | Choose the intended package or regional version. |
| Saily | Asia and Oceania: 22 destinations | Match the quota, validity and checkout currency. |
| Simvito | Plans selected for the destinations in your itinerary | Read each plan’s stated networks, IP location and restrictions. |
Compare the price of the whole trip
The Saily Asia and Oceania page showed 10 GB / 30 days at EUR 31.99 on 2 November 2026. This is a quote for that regional package in the currency displayed during review. Match the actual covered route, data and validity before comparing a different seller’s quote.
Use the same data allowance, validity and checkout currency when comparing prices. Check whether a reduction needs a coupon or applies only to a first purchase. Divide a fixed-data total by its included GB only after confirming the plan lasts for your entire trip; an unlimited plan needs a separate check of its full-speed and hotspot allowances.
Coverage, networks and IP location
The checked products covered different sets of places: Airalo Asia listed 18, Holafly Asia 16, Saily Asia and Oceania 22, and Nomad APAC offered 14- and 21-destination versions. The longest list is useful only if it contains your actual stops.
Treat mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao as separate coverage entries. An IP location in Hong Kong does not establish mobile coverage there, and an exit country alone does not guarantee that every app will work. Choose your destinations and inspect the actual plan’s country, network and app restrictions.
Before you buy
For a laptop or a second traveler, check the separate hotspot allowance. “Unlimited” phone data does not by itself establish unlimited high-speed data or unlimited tethering. Read the selected package’s speed, sharing and activation rules.
- Confirm that your exact phone model supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked; see [device compatibility](page:devices).
- Choose the allowance and validity for every day of the trip; see [estimating travel data](guide:how-much-data-for-travel).
- Follow the plan’s installation and validity-start instructions, then select it for mobile data; see [when to activate](guide:when-to-activate-esim).
Check voice and SMS separately if you need a local number. Keep your home line’s roaming and automatic data switching under control to avoid using that line for travel data.
