Best eSIM for Europe: compare coverage and plan limits
The best Europe eSIM for your trip has to cover every stop. Check the UK, Switzerland and any Balkan destinations explicitly before comparing data allowances or prices.

Choose for your trip
Write down the whole itinerary first. For London, Paris, Zurich and Rome, the chosen plan needs the UK, France, Switzerland and Italy. A larger headline country count can still miss the one country that matters to you.
For one country, compare a country plan with the regional option. For several, one regional allowance can simplify the trip, provided its validity covers the last day. Check your home provider’s included roaming first: you may already have enough data for some or all stops.
Providers and plans compared
Simvito sells travel eSIMs and is included in this comparison. We checked the official product pages linked below on 2 November 2026. This article compares published terms; we have not tested these providers’ speeds, coverage or support. Confirm the exact package before paying.
| Provider | Published offer checked | What to check for your trip |
|---|---|---|
| Airalo | Europe: 41 listed destinations | Open the exact package’s coverage and network details. |
| Holafly | Europe: 33 destinations; hotspot 1 GB per day | Budget for the separate hotspot allowance. |
| Nomad | Europe: 35-destination and 36-destination options | Choose the intended package or regional version. |
| Saily | Europe: 35 destinations | Match the quota, validity and checkout currency. |
| Simvito | Europe plans compared by included destinations | Read each plan’s stated networks, IP location and restrictions. |
Compare the price of the whole trip
Saily’s Europe page showed a 10 GB / 30-day package at EUR 31.99 when checked on 2 November 2026. The page displayed euros, so keep that currency with the quote. Compare the other packages in the same checkout currency before drawing a price conclusion.
Use the same data allowance, validity and checkout currency when comparing prices. Check whether a reduction needs a coupon or applies only to a first purchase. Divide a fixed-data total by its included GB only after confirming the plan lasts for your entire trip; an unlimited plan needs a separate check of its full-speed and hotspot allowances.
Coverage, networks and IP location
The official pages checked listed different regional products: Airalo’s Europe page showed 41 destinations, Nomad offered 35- and 36-destination versions, Saily listed 35 destinations and Holafly listed 33. These counts describe the checked offers; inspect the selected package’s full list for your route.
On Simvito’s Europe plans, compare the included countries and check the UK and Switzerland on the particular plan. “Europe” does not establish coverage for every country, overseas territory or a ship’s onboard network. See single-country or regional eSIM.
Before you buy
For a laptop or a second traveler, check the separate hotspot allowance. “Unlimited” phone data does not by itself establish unlimited high-speed data or unlimited tethering. Read the selected package’s speed, sharing and activation rules.
- Confirm that your exact phone model supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked; see [device compatibility](page:devices).
- Choose the allowance and validity for every day of the trip; see [estimating travel data](guide:how-much-data-for-travel).
- Follow the plan’s installation and validity-start instructions, then select it for mobile data; see [when to activate](guide:when-to-activate-esim).
Check voice and SMS separately if you need a local number. Keep your home line’s roaming and automatic data switching under control to avoid using that line for travel data.
