Install an eSIM on Samsung Galaxy or Google Pixel

Android menus differ by manufacturer and software version. Use the path for your phone, and keep the order email and a Wi-Fi connection available.

Check the device and the start rule

Use the compatibility checklist to confirm eSIM support for your exact model and sales region, plus carrier-unlocked status. An EID is useful evidence of eSIM hardware, but does not by itself confirm every travel plan is allowed.

Read the start rule in the plan details. Install-on-arrival plans should wait until you are ready; a first-connection plan can only be installed early where the device’s regional rules allow it.

Samsung Galaxy

  1. Open Settings → Connections → SIM manager → Add eSIM. Older software may say SIM card manager or Add mobile plan.
  2. Choose Scan QR code and scan the code delivered for your order. Follow the download prompts; restart only if the phone asks.
  3. In SIM manager, label the line clearly and select it for mobile data when you are ready to connect.

Google Pixel

  1. Open Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add SIM → Set up an eSIM.
  2. Follow the setup prompts to use your provider’s QR code. If the menu differs, follow the Google guide linked below for your Android version.
  3. Return to SIM settings and select the travel SIM for mobile data. Keep calls and texts on your usual line if needed.

Connect without using home data

Enable the travel line and follow its order instructions for roaming. Turn off roaming and automatic data switching for your home line. Mobile data, calls and texts are separate settings on many devices.

Test a small webpage with Wi-Fi off. If no Add eSIM option exists, stop and check your regional model with the manufacturer or Simvito support; buying another plan will not add hardware support.

Keep the installed profile

Do not erase a newly installed eSIM as a troubleshooting step. Each Simvito QR code installs once. Have your order number, exact model and error wording ready if you need help.

Once compatibility is confirmed, browse destinations and compare the actual networks and activation rules before buying.
