When and where
The arrival card is the TWAC on the National Immigration Agency's site, twac.immigration.gov.tw. On 15 July 2026 the agency widened the window from 3 days before arrival to 7 days. Families and groups can have one person submit for everyone, up to 16 travellers in total.
Visa-free stays
The arrival card isn't a visa. Taiwan's Bureau of Consular Affairs lists 90-day visa-free entry for citizens of the US, the UK (British citizen passports), Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea and the EU countries, and 30 days for Singapore and Malaysia. For other passports, check the bureau's list before booking.
Hong Kong and Macao residents
Permanent residents of Hong Kong or Macao who were born there, have entered Taiwan before as Hong Kong or Macao residents, or hold a valid entry permit can apply online for a free temporary entry permit. Each stay is up to 30 days from the day after arrival. Holders of a foreign passport (other than BN(O)) apply as foreign nationals instead.
Data when you land
Install a Taiwan eSIM before you fly, so maps and ride apps work from the airport. The operators' tourist SIMs at Taoyuan Airport need your passport and a second ID at the counter.
